JOHN CHRISTENBURY (Bass Guitar), a Charlotte, NC native, has been involved with music for most of his life. John started with grade school music programs and quickly fell in love with the guitar. Not coming from a musical household, John spent many hours jamming away teaching himself to play along with his favorite albums. When he was younger he was fueled by his brother’s music collection that included Rush, Kansas, The Police and more. The influence of a conservative upbringing, music was more of a background interest until college when he joined a band with some college friends and has been playing and expanding his craft ever since and has also seen John doing extensive touring with several bands over the last decade. Something he never dreamed of when he first picked up that guitar.

John met Caroline, Scott and Rachel when he began a rotating bass position for the worship band at Five Stones Church. A big fan of the bands initial EP, John joined up with the group in early 2015.

SCOTT SPRUILL (Band Leader, Keys, Acoustic Guitar, BGVs)
was born in Canton, GA.  From an early age, music was an intricate part of his life. He studied both piano and drums and was fortunate to have instructors who exposed him to several different genres and styles of playing. Later on, while living as a missionary in Mexico during a sabbatical from college and suffering from musical withdrawals, Scott picked up a guitar and taught himself to play.

Scott has been playing professionally since 2004, touring extensively with several bands across the United States.  He met his wife Stefanie in 2005 and later that year they moved to Charlotte, NC, to work in local church ministry while Scott continued to tour intermittently.  When he and Stefanie found out that they were expecting their daughter in 2012, Scott took a break from touring and accepted a faculty position at Carmel Christian School teaching music to middle and high school students.

Scott and Caroline began working together in 2010 at Five Stones Church in Waxhaw, NC, as part of the church’s worship ministry and soon after began to toy with the idea of writing songs.  When they were introduced to Zack Pangle the three of them decided to take a few afternoons during the summer of 2013 and see if they were compatible writing partners.  The answer was a resounding “yes” and they have continued to write and record since then.
